Freeride Montpelier is a terrific community resource for ANYONE interested in adding more biking to their life. Their staff & volunteers are friendly & knowledgeable. They were so helpful to me. Even though they don’t focus on e-bikes, I was grateful to be able to use their shop space, comprehensive array of tools, and their friendly expertise to get my new folding e-bike set up, safety checked, and ready to ride. Even though I’m in my 70s, haven’t had a bike to ride in 3 years, I feel like a kid again being able to enjoy the freedom and physical exercise of two-wheeled transportation. Highly recommend!!!

Went to Freeride for the first time recently to work on my bike with their help and it was awesome. It felt welcoming and totally non-judgmental to my newbie self who had trouble cutting a straight edge haha. I am so glad I found you guys! Thanks to both Phoenix and Brian for your kindness and thank you Phoenix for the extra guidance and patience! You are my bike spot as long as I live here.

This shop is a BABE! It’s not big and fancy and intimidating. it’s an absolute delight of reclaimed parts, old bikes given new life, and down to earth service. It’s so empowering to be able to do basic maintenance on your fun machine, and freeride has the tools and the friendly knowledgeability to teach you. (Thanks Phoenix!) I will ALWAYS hit up freeride before I go to another shop to find what I need for my wheelie steed.
